OleoFLEX EG 200 – Translucent elastomeric gel, used as a co-structurant and texturizer to create flexibility and bounce in non-silicone oils
OleoFlex is a hybrid material comprised of natural oils and an advanced synthetic polymer blend. The result is a flexible, anhydrous structurant that has many unique applications in personal care and color cosmetic formulations. There are two series of OleoFlex products – the Elastomer Gel (EG) series, and the Flowing Gel (FG) series.
The EG 200 series structures oils by creating a three-dimensional micro-sponge polymer network, resulting in a thermal-reversible, viscoelastic gel texture. It is generally used in skin care and “stick” applications that require a more flexible substantiation of natural oils along with a more soft and cushioned sensory profile. The FG series is primarily used in both hair care and lip care formulations as a film former and conditioning enhancer for natural oils. It is also used in combination with the EG series to modify the flow and elasticity of the polymeric structure.
