Evicide® PBD contains the powerful co-preservatives: Benzoic Acid and Dehydroacteic Acid. The blend of aromatic alcohol and organic acids has a strong, broad-spectrum efficacy against bacteria, yeasts and molds. Evicide® PBD is a popular preservative blend for all kind of formulations and enables the formulator to avoid parabens or other controversial preservatives like Isothiazolinones or Formaldehyde-releasers.
Applications
Evicide® PBD performs as a safe and skin friendly preservative at a pH up to pH 6. The best results are obtained in all kind of formulations, starting from aqueous systems, to surfactant-based products, as well as emulsions and is perfectly suitable for Face Care and Body Care, while still being cost effective.
