Features & Benefits

The main component is petrochemically derived Caprylyl Glycol, which is a member of the well-known family of glycols. To this potent antimicrobial, the plant-derived boosting agent Glyceryl Caprylate is added, which greatly adds to the effectiveness of the blend. Glyceryl Caprylate is known as a powerful wetting and moisturizing agent that also increases membrane permeability of microorganisms. In this way, it greatly improves the antimicrobial efficacy of other preservatives. The third active is Phenylpropanol, which further adds antimicrobial efficacy, and at the same time a slight floral odor.

Applications

Evicide CGP is a liquid colorless mixture with a light floral odor. The raw material is best suited for the application as a stand-alone preservative in all varieties of O/W and W/O emulsions, or formulations with glycol or surfactant content.
