Modern & Versatile Preservative Blends
Evicide® levanise 1388 is a highly effective and broad spectrum antimicrobial aqueous solution containing sodium levulinate, sodium anisate and the solubilizer glycerin. All components are well known ingredients which have been used in the manufacture of personal care products for many years without causing complications.
With this convenient mixture, solubility issues with anisic acid are circumvented, making application very straight forward. Due to the excellent water solubility, Evicide® levanise 1388 can simply be added to the formulation’s water phase. At the same time, no influence on the color or odor of the finished product is to be expected.
The recommended pH range is 3.5-6.0.
